DSAT / TecRec Advanced courses

Programs that we offer:

Tec Trimix 65
Tec Trimix

Tec Trimix 65 – Duration 5-6 days
This course opens up the advantages of trimix to the diver, and divers are qualified to make multi-stop decompression dives that employ EANx and oxygen for accelerated decompression, and any trimix with an oxygen content of 18% or more. They can dive to a maximum depth of 65 metres/210 feet.

The PADI Tec Trimix 65 course is intended to extend the depth range of technical divers already trained and qualified to use air, enriched air and oxygen for technical decompression dives beyond 50 metres /165 feet.

This course is for Tec 50 divers (or those holding a qualifying certification from another training organization). The course extends your depth range capabilities by training you to use trimix (a blend of helium, oxygen and nitrogen).

You will:

  • Plan and execute at least five trimix decompression dives using various trimix blends
  • Use decompression software to create custom dive tables and dive plans
  • Make training dives as deep as 75 metres/245 feet

Tec Trimix – duration 5-6 days
The PADI Tec Trimix Diver course is intended to extend the depth range of technical divers already trained and qualified to use air, enriched air and oxygen for technical decompression dives beyond 50 metres/165 feet. Diving with trimix is the outer edge of tec diving – the maximum depth for using this technology has yet to be defined.

This course is for Tec 50 or Tec Trimix 65 (or those holding a qualifying certification from another training organization). The course extends your depth range capabilities by training you to use trimix (a blend of helium, oxygen and nitrogen).

You will

  • Plan and execute at least five trimix decompression dives using various trimix blends
  • Use decompression software to create custom dive tables and dive plans
  • Make training dives as deep as 75 metres/245 feet

TDI Advanced Technical courses

Programs available
:
Entry Level Trimix
Advanced Trimix

TDI Entry Level Trimix – duration 5 days
The TDI Entry Level Trimix Course provides the training required to competently and safely utilize breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilizing Nitrox or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 60m. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures of utilizing custom O2/He/N2 mixtures as breathing gases

TDI Advanced Trimix – duration 5-6 days
The TDI Advanced Trimix Course provides the training required to competently and safely utilize breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilizing Nitrox and/or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 100m. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures of utilizing custom O2/He/N2 mixtures as breathing gases.

BSAC Advanced Technical courses

Programs available;
Sports Mixed Gas Diver
Explorer Mixed Gas Diver
Advanced Mixed gas diver

BSAC Sports Mixed Gas Diver – duration 3 days

The BSAC Sports Mixed Gas Diver course is designed to train divers to become competent to Dive to a maximum depth limit of 50 metres. The dives are conducted using a breathing gas mixture of oxygen percentage greater than or equal to 20 % and a helium percentage of up to 30 %, for example, 20/30. This mixture contains the maximum permitted percentage of helium gas component for a Sports Mixed Gas Diver, within the prescribed practical tolerances based on the final mixed gas percentages.

Explorer Mixed Gas Diver – duration 2 days
The BSAC Explorer Mixed Gas Diver course is designed to train divers who, when diving using the equipment specific to their qualification, to be competent to: Dive to a maximum depth limit of 60 metres. Conduct dives breathing a gas mixture of oxygen percentage greater than or equal to 18 % and a helium percentage of up to 35 %, for example, 18/35. This mixture contains the maximum permitted percentage of helium gas component for an Explorer Mixed Gas Diver, within the prescribed practical tolerances based on the final mixed gas percentages, Plan and conduct dives requiring mandatory decompression

Advanced Mixed Gas Diver – Duration 6 days

The BSAC advanced mixed gas diver course trains divers to be able to conduct dives breathing any suitable combination of gas mixtures to a maximum depth limit of 80 metres.
The divers plan and conduct dives requiring mandatory decompression
