The north routes

Once left the moorings and taken off from Capo Galera (to the north direction) we will meet the massive Punta Giglio, which is the entrance (mouth ) of Porto Conte, an extensive natural harbour in the past already used by Roman ships.

The submerged caves of `Falco`(hawk), `dei fantasmi` (Ghosts), `delle stalattiti`(Stalactites), `dei Cervi` (Deer) and `del Pozzo`(well) characterize this area.
Once passed this natural fjord we will reach the high cliffs of Capo Caccia, overhanging rock that falls into the beautiful sea, creating a spectacular and unique landscape.
Several fascinating diving excursions are possible in this side of the sea, also here most of them are into the caves: the Madonnina, the “ Tunnel” , the “ Fiord” , the “Cabirol”, the “Porch” and, the most famous for its development, the cave of “Nereo”. Continuing the navigation, we will be able to see, in front of “Cala Inferno”, the beautiful Foradada island, so called for his cavities (foro=hole). Further north we will reach the island “Piana” and “Cala Barca”, where we can have some diving between caves and spectacular rock-arches.

Very interesting on the bottom is the presence of traces of a sinked galleon (16th century), including several tiles and a cannon.

We will continue towards to the “Argentiera”, a Cape in the middle of the sea that hides a creek with in the middle a beautiful beach, that in the past was used to load silver minerals extracted from a mine on the spot. Further north we find the island “ Asinara “, a natural park to be discovered, underwater as well as on the surface. The view you have joining the famous Pelosa beach near Stintino is unforgettable.
